- How does the ConquerMaths program work?
View the Tutorial
Each of the 1,200+ tutorials last around 4-9 minutes and present the concepts of the maths lesson step-by-step. Using synchronised audio and animation which harnesses both audio and visual learning styles simultaneously.
Completing the Interactive Questions or Worksheets
Following each maths tutorial there are interactive questions or an optional printable worksheet (with every lesson in KS3 onwards) which tests the understanding of key concepts. Answers are entered into the automated marking system which then stores the results in each individual student’s ongoing progress report.
View Worked Solutions (for Worksheet based tests)
After answers have been submitted, printable fully worked solutions become available showing every step which should be taken to reach the correct answer, just as it should be done in a maths exam. These can also be accessed directly by the parent.
Marking and Reports
Ongoing progress reports are built for each individual. This helps parents and students in identifying weaker areas requiring further study. Every maths lesson a student attempts is logged and the results stored along with statistical information detailing when they passed, what they scored and how much time and effort they put in to pass that lesson.
- My child was using a family account but now he/she has a school account. What happens to the results my child accumulated in the family account? Can they be transferred to the school account?
Yes. Email us at info@conquermaths.com with the name and username of both accounts and we will transfer all results from the family account to the school account. If you require the results data to be transferred from the school we will need to contact the school to confirm that this is acceptable.
- Can I ‘link’ school and family accounts?
No. A student is either part of a family account (administered by the parent) or a school account (administered by the teacher).
- Do we have the freedom to review earlier grades?
Yes. With a ConquerMaths membership you have access to all grades and lessons. There are no restrictions allowing freedom to move back and forward.
- How can I monitor my child's progress?
As a parent you can access detailed results at any time online. Most parents choose to receive the weekly progress report which is sent direct to your email every week. To do this, just login to the Parents’ Area, select your settings and check the ‘Weekly Reports’ option. There is also the facility within the Parents’ Area to view detailed reports at any time.
- How do I unsubscribe from weekly reports and/or newsletters?
Login to the Parents’ Area, select your settings and uncheck the report or newsletter box. You will also find an unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter we send to you.
- How do I cancel my family account and stop further payments?
Send an email to info@conquermaths.com, stating your email address and we will stop further payments. Your payments will cease immediately, and your membership will expire at the conclusion of the last paid period. There are no cancellation fees except for early termination of the ‘Annual Paid in Monthly Instalments’ plan, please contact us at info@conquermaths.com if you require clarification or support.
- How do you answer the worksheets?
For most worksheets the answers are in multiple-choice format. Multiple-choice worksheets have a set of questions and possible answers (A to Z). The answers are jumbled and there are extra, incorrect answers to avoid guessing.
- Why make the worksheets multiple-choice? Why can’t you just type the answer in directly?
The symbols and notation used in maths quickly goes beyond what can be readily typed using a keyboard. Radical symbols, superscript and subscript characters, pi, theta, degrees, minutes and seconds… Although easily written by hand, it is difficult trying to enter such answers into a program.
